[edit] Time
22nd and 23rd August 2009.
[edit] Venue
Google HQ, London.
- (3 minutes)
[edit] London Euston to Victoria
The Victoria Line will be suspended between Warren Street and Brixton, so you won't be able to travel directly from Euston to Victoria. Use this alternative route.
- Take the Northern Line southbound (via Charing Cross) to Embankment.
- Change to the westbound Circle or District Line at Embankment to Victoria.
[edit] London St Pancras/Kings Cross to Victoria
Likewise the Victoria Line suspension affects this journey also.
- Take the Picadilly Line southbound from Kings Cross to Leicester Square.
- Change to the Northern Line southbound to Embankment.
- Change to the westbound Circle or District Line at Embankment to Victoria.
[edit] London Kings Cross to Hotel
Since the Victoria Line is closed you will need to make a short journey on foot.
- Take the Northern Line southbound (towards Morden) from Kings Cross to Oval (it is important to ensure you take the correct branch).
- See . There are no buses that travel along this route.
[edit] Victoria to Hotel
See . It should be possible to get bus 2, 36, or 436 from Grosvenor Place across the river instead of walking, however you will need to get off as soon as you cross the bridge. This should work equally well in reverse.
[edit] London Paddington to Hotel
- Take the 436 bus from Paddington Station (Praed Street).
- Get off just after crossing Vauxhall bridge across the Thames.
- Walk towards the hotel, see .

Finito!

- Tim to e-mail Brightbox
- Emailed. No response as of yet.
- Liase with Emma about laptops
- Find suitable accommodation, as cheaply as possible, near to Google HQ - hotels.com is a good place to start and make a list on wiki
- Find out for sure who needs accommodation
- Decide which hotel to book and work out how many rooms are required.
- Work out which specific trains at which times to book everyone onto
- Find out what station each person will be traveling from
- Contact everyone on the list who we have "unknown" in a box and clarify position
- Need to contact and speak to stemount and joe henthorn
- Get addresses to send tickets to, e-mails sent to request them from everyone that needs one.
- Email everyone individually confirming that they are booked, what they're travel plans are and who they should contact if stuff doesn't go to plan.
- liase with YRS specifically @hubmum - Emma Mulqueeny - should probably be Tim Dobson
- Sent initial email asking her to phone me and explaining our situation
- Had conversation with Emma on the phone - she was really enthusiastic. From her point of view if we just tell her "book x number of y type rooms here, book z tickets on this train from a to b and them mail these tickets to c" then that is cool with her and she can do that.
- Deadline for people saying yes and getting all information across though and us sending her that email is 12:00 on Saturday though so we need to move VERY fast.
- Emma is happy for parents accompanying to get accommodation & travel paid for
- Confirm with YRS that all the people we have done as coming, they have down as coming too.
- They do. This is good.
- Find out who in DFEY will not be bringing a working laptop.
